Thales appoints VP of Cybersecurity, Middle East

Cybersecurity provider Thales has appointed Gary Miller, former managing director of Thales Cyber and Consulting UK, its new VP of Cybersecurity in the Middle East.

Miller brings over 15 years’ industry experience to the role, and has worked both with start-ups and large international companies. As MD of Thales UK, he managed 160 consultants with revenues of over €20 million.

A key objective for us will be to help the region become more mature in its cyber awareness and culture.

In his new role, Miller will be leading Thales’ new cybersecurity hub in Dubai, which will be staffed by an initial team of ten security experts and will deliver products and consulting services to new and existing clients in the UAE and across the Middle East.

“I’m extremely excited to be bringing Thales’s world-renowned expertise into a region that is leading the charge in digital transformation adoption,” Miller commented.

He went on to say: “A key objective for us will be to help the region become more mature in its cyber awareness and culture. Through our long-standing industry knowledge and locally tailored services and solutions, Thales is best placed to assist our stakeholders through this incredible transformation currently taking place across the region.”
