Accenture announces new president for France and Benelux

Accenture has announced its new president for France and Benelux, who will begin in the new role on September 1st this year.

The new president, Olivier Girard, will take over leading the business in the region from Christian Nibourel, who has led Accenture’s activities in the region for 11 years. Girard will continue to focus on growing the company, with particular focus on innovation, expanding into new areas, and attracting new talent.

Olivier is an exceptional leader who has assisted some of the biggest international companies with their digital transformation efforts.

Girard has been with Accenture since 1997, and is currently Managing Director for Products in France and Benelux.

“Olivier is an exceptional leader who has assisted some of the biggest international companies with their digital transformation efforts,” said Jo Deblaere, Chief Operating Officer at Accenture and Group Chief Executive for Europe [translated]. “Under his direction, Products has experienced significant growth in the region. I am delighted that he is taking charge of the company in France and Benelux, and to work more closely with him.”

Cybersecurity, cloud services and information services were a particular growth area under Nibourel. Given Girard’s experience in the area, and the ever-increasing size and complexity of these markets worldwide, they may well remain a priority.

“I would also like to thank Christian for what he has brought to Accenture during the 35 years of his career here,” Deblaere added. “He has successfully driven Accenture’s transformation in the region, establishing our leadership in digital services and in cybersecurity. He has managed the business with focus on improving our ability to serve our clients, all while offering our partners new career opportunities. Accenture could not be in a better position, as Olivier takes over, to continue to grow and extend its leadership, particularly in artifical intelligence, the blockchain and immersive reality.”
