F5 Networks has announced the appointment of Mary Gardner as its new CISO.
Gardner joins F5 Networks from Seattle Children’s Hospital, where she also held the role of CISO. Other previous positions include information security and compliance leadership roles at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Port of Seattle, JP Morgan Chase, and Washington Mutual.

As VP and CISO, Gardner will be responsible for F5 Networks’ company-wide information security management initiatives, in addition to strategic planning, governance, and controls.
Her duties will also include identifying, evaluating, and reporting on the company’s overall security performance and posture, in alignment with regulatory requirements and evolving best practices.
